Beautiful Serbia (BUKULJA mountain) – Harakhan Kennel
Beautiful Serbia – Bukulja Mountain. If you visit Serbia we advise you to visit the mountain Bukulja, an extinct volcano near Arandjelovac town. The name originates from the Serbian name for beech tree (pronounced [bǔkuʎa]) that covers slopes and the mountain top. This is an ideal place for walking the dog or riding a bicycle. If you walk to the top of the mountain using the asphalt road it will take you about an hour without losing breath. And it is our suggestion to go down the hill straight through the woods. We had to do so because walking a Dogo Canario pair can be pretty catchy if there are many other visitors at the time (walkers, mountaineers or hunters with dogs). A watchtower is situated on 698 m altitude (above sea level) where it is possible to take a panoramic view using binoculars over other Serbian mountains (Avala, Kosmaj, Rudnik, Maljen, Ovcar i Kablar). Bukulja is also known for the source of mineral water “Knjaz Milos”. It’s source is 500 m deep situated in ecological area and protected by layers of clay and granite rocks.
